First of all, THANK YOU for participating in this exciting new GRP fundraiser! Thanks to amazing people like you moving up your fundraising (and ping pong) skills, this event is going to be a total blast! Here’s all the information you will need to start putting together a fabulous team! 

How it works:

  1. Recruit, Recruit, Recruit! –Pull together a group of 2-10 (more if you can!) friends, family and/or co-workers who are committed to having a great time and who will help you raise money and support for Girls Rock Philly. As you are recruiting, consider that people might not be able to join your team, but might donate to your fundraising goal, so always include that as an option! 

  2. There is no minimum your team needs to hit, but we suggest setting a goal with your team based on how many of you there are. You can have goals for each person on the team — for example: If each person’s goal is $100 then a team of 5 would have a $500 goal! And if you have a team of 10...that’s $1000 towards amplifying youth voices at GRP! Dreamy, right?!

  3. Come up with a team name, outfits, select your players! Remember only two people from your team can compete in the ping-pong tournament at a time. The rest of the team is there for cheering and support! Costumes, themes, healthy competition and creativity are strongly encouraged! **PLEASE NOTE: GRP’S COSTUME GAME IS STRONG.

  4. You must collect all of your money and donor info (or end your online fundraiser) by the event! Please send the attached donor info form out to your teammates and have them fill out for each donor. There will be a competition for the most donors, so tracking this info is super important! If folks who pledge need a tax-deductible receipt (included in this email) please make sure they are given one at the time of their donation. People can donate via cash, check, online via the GRP website or facebook fundraisers. Please bring all cash and checks with you to the event and give them to Staff when you arrive. 

  5. Each team will receive a form to fill out by the end of the first game (we’ll send judges around to collect them) this form will enter you and your team to win awards and fabulous prizes!
