How to Donate Gear to GRP!

How can I donate musical equipment to GRP?

Thanks SO MUCH for donating gear -- because of you, we can offer participants a rad, high-quality musical experience! Girls Rock Philly accepts gear and instrument donations year-round. We are looking for guitars, basses, amps, keyboards, full drum kits and drum parts, PAs, turntables, pedals.

You must fill out a gear donation form and have it approved before dropping the gear off at at our office in South Kensington (1428 Germantown Ave) or our favorite local music repair shop, DiPinto Guitars (407 East Girard Ave, Philadelphia). At this time, based on where you are located in the city, we cannot guarantee a pick-up.

We do not accept broken gear as is. In this moment, we're not looking for acoustic guitars or electric guitars that need a ton of work. If your gear needs repair, we would recommend having it fixed, selling it and considering making a donation to GRP with the proceeds.

I've filled out the gear donation form, what happens next?

We’ll follow up with next steps. Since we are a small organization with a limited staff capacity, we are not always able to respond to/coordinate Gear Loan Requests or Donations right away. We will honor your request to best of our abilities and strive to get back to you within 2 weeks about whether or not we can accept your donation.
