Prevention:

Vaccination Status

We strongly encourage vaccination for our participants and you will be asked whether or not you’ve vaccinated as part of your check-in for our data-gathering purposes.

Masks

Wear a mask for the duration of the event (when requested).

Handwashing

To prevent the spread of germs at the event, you should wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol to clean hands BEFORE and AFTER:

  • Touching your eyes, nose, or mouth

  • Touching your mask

  • Touching an item or surface that may be frequently touched by other people, such as door handles, tables, writing utensils

Examples of these key times when you are likely to get and spread germs include:

  • Before, during, and after eating or handling food

  • Before and after treating a cut or wound

  • After using the toilet

  • After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing

  • After touching an animal, animal feed, or animal waste

  • After handling pet food or pet treats

  • After touching garbage

Stay home if sick or having any symptoms of COVID-19

Regardless of vaccination status, if you've experienced COVID symptoms within the last 48 hours or have been in close contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the past 10 days, we request that you do not enter the event and recommend that you get tested for COVID-19.

Screening:

The first thing you will do when you arrive is participate in a brief COVID screening. Using a contactless thermometer, we will take your temperature by holding it up to your wrist. Your temperature must read below 100.4°F. We will ask you the following questions and have them posted.

  1. Are you experiencing, or have you experienced in the past 48 hours, any of these symptoms? Fever greater than 100°, Cough, Sore throat, Respiratory illness, or Difficulty breathing

  2. In the last 10 days, do you have any known direct exposure (in close contact for more than 15 minutes) with someone diagnosed with COVID-19? If so, did you get tested 3-5 post-exposure?

  3. Do you agree to report to GRP if you begin to experience COVID-19 symptoms at any point today or in the subsequent 10 days?

If you answer yes to Questions 1 & 2 and/or no to Question 3, we ask that you refrain from participating in the interest of everyone’s safety.

If you have questions or would like to talk to a staff member, contact Candy (609)923-9002.

If you answer no to Questions 1 & 2 and yes to Question 3, you are cleared to enter the event. You’ll receive a wristband to wear to show that you’ve been screened.

GRP Safety & Cleaning Practices

We will provide masks, sanitizer, and disinfecting wipes on-site. We will minimize sharing of high-touch materials, such as writing utensils, including designating a place for used pens, markers, etc. We will limit the use of gear, instruments, and art supplies to one group of participants at a time. We will clean all of these materials between uses with sanitizing wipes or a UV sanitizer. We will clean table surfaces before and after heavy use and at the beginning and end of each shift using sanitizing wipes.

Positive Cases & Contact Tracing:

If an event participant or staff member reports COVID symptoms during or after the event, we will advise them to be tested for COVID. In the event of a positive test, Candy will take steps to make sure all registered participants and/or caregivers are notified of the potential exposure.

KEEP IN MIND

As we monitor evolving case numbers and the spread of recent variants, our policies are subject to change to increase safety measures. We will communicate any changes to participants as soon as they’re made.

Because we can't provide a specific risk level for everyone in our community, we encourage you to consider your safety and the safety of your community before participating.
