Volunteer Application
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Girls Rock Philly! This is Girls Rock Philly’s second year hosting this alternative music camp for girls & young women ages 9-17. We need the help of reliable, dedicated people like you to make camp happen & we appreciate your time, skills & enthusiasm.
Camp Week runs from Monday, August 4th to Friday, August 8th, with a matinee showcase on Saturday, August 9th. Before & during camp, there are a wide range of important volunteer positions to be filled. Some positions require musical experience, but there are many positions that do not. All positions are available to female & female-identifying volunteers, with opportunities available for men as well!
Different volunteer positions have different responsibilities & time commitments. Please contact volunteer coordinator Marianna Allen with any questions you may have regarding a specific job. All volunteers will be required to attend at least one pre-camp orientation. Girls Rock Philly will contact you with some orientation dates this summer.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL camp week volunteers will be required to undergo a criminal records check & child abuse clearance for safety & insurance purposes. These background checks cost $10 each. Girls Rock Philly will provide you with these forms once we receive your application but, to offset our costs, we ask you that you pay this fee. If you need assistance with this fee, please contact Marianna.
Background Checks
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires ALL camp week volunteers will be required to undergo a series background checks for safety & insurance purposes. The total cost of these checks run $60.00. To offset our costs, we ask you that you pay this fee. (If you need assistance with this fee, please e-mail Marianna.)

The GRP volunteer application comes in two (2) parts — both are required for your application to be considered for review.
