Hi everyone,

We’ve got the best news! The Mockingbird Foundation has generously granted us the funds to record our 2009 campers in a studio for a professional compilation album!

We’re just about ready to make some more big announcements — for our silent auction in early summer, for our gear drive in late May & for the big Kahuna, CAMP!

In the meantime, our PR lady Megan has been working overtime: she & Beth just did an interview on G-Town Radio on Sunday (soon to be up in podcast form).

We just have a few more details to hammer out & we promise we’ll put up the applications & send out the announcements as soon as the ink is dry.

We wrung 2 scholarships & lots of holiday gifts out of our partnered event with Mew Gallery on Saturday.  Thanks to everyone who came out in the cold & to DJ Version Girl, DJ Sassafras & Iron Tree for representing!

We’ll be putting up 2009 applications in January, for both campers & volunteers, so definitely stay tuned.

Thanks so much for coming to the Girls Rock multimedia extravaganza on Nov. 15th – we had a great turnout at the Painted Bride!  Everyone loved the book-touring ladies from Portland & Oak Oak Okay, and they loved us.

After that, we’re going to settle up our books & plan something big for the fall…..

So, holding outdoor events in August means sometimes you get rained out.  Which is why you should stop by Liberty Lands Park on Tuesday, August 26th instead.  Bring a picnic & see you there!
