So, we had the best camp week ever! Thank you to all of our sponsors, donors, funders, volunteers, friends, campers, camper caregivers, families, friends, and partners, as well as the Girls Rock Camp Alliance and all of our sister camps who held sessions this summer.
We are going to tally up everything, throw ourselves a party & see you after Labor Day!

Thank you so much to everyone who showed to our first-ever Open House at GRP HQ on May 21st! We had a blast, watched as a pre-camp camper band formed in one of our practice spaces & very nearly gave away all 150 cupcakes to the crowd on the first sunny day in what felt like a while.
Now is the time we start collecting donations & loans for camp! Food, art supplies, you name it, but especially gear.

Congratulations to all of our RUN GRP Broad Street Run participants on May 1st! And thanks to campers Emily, who played at PhilaMOCA for their Gallery Walk on April 15th, and Eleanor, who played Shadfest on April 23rd.

Saturday, May 21st: We’ll be tabling at the Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby & Trenton Avenue Arts Fair! We’ll also be holding our own Open House around the corner at our GRP Headquarters that afternoon, so stay tuned for more details!
Online registration for Girls Rock Philly 2011 will go live on Monday, February 21! Mark your calendar for President’s Day to sign up your camper. Camp Week 2011 is from Monday, August 8th to Friday, August 12th, with the showcase on Saturday, August 13th & our now-annual recording day on Sunday, August 14th.

And the Girls Rock Camp Alliance, made up of nearly 40 camps around the world has put together its very first camper band compilation album! GRP is repped on Track 16 by last year’s Queens of the Iron Cross, but all of these camper bands are completely inspiring & we definitely recommend buying the CD though CDBaby or finding it on iTunes.
