Campers
Girls Rock Philly 2008 is full! Stay tuned for our showcase on August 9th!
Any girl 9 to 17 years old can apply for the camp. No experience is necessary! We’ll even supply you with instruments!
Do I have to live in Philly to sign up?
No! We’re more than happy to take out-of-towners. However, rock camp is a day camp and we do not provide lodging or accommodations. We are able to assist, but cannot guarantee, some host family arrangements. Please designate on your application if you would like to host a camper, or if you need a host.
» Check our messageboards for housing & ride-sharing offers & requests as the date of camp approaches.
Where is the camp?
Girls Rock Philly takes place at Girard College (2102 S. College Ave.) in Philadelphia. Girard College is a private boarding school for students, grades 1 through 12 & employs year-round campus security that works with Girls Rock Philly’s volunteers to ensure a safe environment for all campers.
For Parents
Camp Tuition
The tuition for GRP is $400.00 — this includes the week of camp and showcase. We also provide financial assistance and full scholarships for those who qualify. (Make sure to mark that on your application, and we’ll contact you with more information.)
Safety Concerns
Girls Rock Philly is a fully-insured day camp in Philadelphia. All of our camp week volunteers undergo the standard, up-to-date background checks required of anyone working with children in Pennsylvania. Girls Rock Philly also provides up to an hour of morning & afternoon supervision for campers who cannot be dropped off or picked up right as the camp day begins & ends.
